This article will explain the use and function of a Job Template
A job template is a set of designated tasks that a driver must complete for every order. There can only be one job template per site or location. The purpose of a job template is to be able to monitor where the job is in real time as well as gather data regarding time spent getting to/completing each task. Job templates can be customized to include more or less tasks, for example, adding a requirement for the driver to submit photo confirmation of a delivered item. The tasks may able be set to complete automatically based on geofencing technology rather than manually completed in the Driver App.
The standard template consists of 4 tasks:
- Arrive at the location to pick up the item
- Depart the location with the item
- Arrive at the customer to drop off the item
- Depart the customer once the item has been dropped off
